The Eyewitness Guides published by Dorling Kindersley contain lots of excellent photographs useful for identification, though the text will probably be unsuitable for children under 12 years.

Collector’s Guides published by Millers are useful to teachers for identification of everyday items such as postcards, advertising tins, pens and writing equipment.

Care and Repair of Antiques and Collectables by A Jackson & D Day published by Collins has good clear illustrations of simple conservation techniques. Suitable for teachers.
